About Monkey Hook picture hangers
Every Monkey Hook works the same way. It has a self-boring tip, a long spring-steel shaft that lies behind the drywall, and a small hook that stays outside. What changes between the styles is how thick the steel is and how close the hook sits to the wall.
Start with what you want to hang. If it is a framed print, a small mirror or a clock, the Original will do it. If it is a heavy mirror or a big canvas, you want Gorilla Grade. And if you have both kinds of job, the Home & Office Pack gives you ten of each, plus ten Flush Mount hooks.

Which Monkey Hook should I buy for a framed picture?
The Original suits most framed pictures and small mirrors. Check the rating on the pack against the weight of your piece. For heavier pieces, use Gorilla Grade.
Do Monkey Hooks work on plaster?
The instructions cover drywall of any grade, also called sheetrock, gypsum board or plasterboard. Old lath-and-plaster walls vary a lot: if the tip will not go through with hand pressure, stop and use a different fixing.
What is the Flush Mount hook for?
It holds small items that need to sit flat against the wall. It comes in the Home & Office Pack, ten to a box.
