About Monkey Hook

The Monkey Hook line started in 2004. The idea was simple: hanging a picture should not need a drill, a stud finder or a box of plastic anchors, and most walls in American homes are drywall anyway.
Every Monkey Hook is one piece of spring steel. A sharp tip bores through the wall board, a long curved shaft lies against the back of it, and a small hook stays outside. The range has three styles of it: the Original, Gorilla Grade in thicker steel, and the low-profile Flush Mount.

Every pack, every rating
Each Monkey Hook pack prints its own rating, and the numbers differ between packs: 20 lb on the galvanized silver Original, 35 and 50 lb on the gold Original blister depending on the drywall, 40 lb on Gorilla Grade. Go by the number on the pack in your hand, and weigh the piece before you hang it.
